Safety Policy

The Health & Safety at Work (Amendment) (NI) Order 1998 UK and the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Construction Regulations) 2006 ROI imposes duties on employers and employees in all aspects of Health and Safety in the workplace.

 

These legislations couples with other relevant laws applicable to this workplace must be adhered to all times.

 

This organisation intends, so far as is reasonably practicable, to ensure that:

 

  • All plant and equipment is without risks to health
  • All articles and substances are handled, stored, transported and used in a manner without risks to health
  • All premises under the control of this organisation remain free from risks to persons employed, or using the premises for purposes approved by this organisation
  • Emergency procedures are in place and fully understood by all persons using the premises
  • Adequate information is available with respect to all areas of health and safety

 

In furtherance of our policy to adhere strictly to the requirements of all legislation we will provide:

 

  • Instruction, information and training to all persons coming into contact with our undertaking
  • Risk assessments and reviews as required
  • Environmental monitoring as defined by legislation
  • Health surveillance for employees as defined by legislation
  • Provision of adequate protective clothing and equipment

 

The Health & Safety policy document will be reviewed and updated as necessary following consultations with consultants, relevant legislation changes, in either UK or Republic of Ireland, and communication of changes will be made to all employees

 

The Health & Safety policy will also be reviewed at least every three months by senior management during their review of Health & Safety.
