We have undertaken many projects of various complexity in relation to Cathedrals and Churchs:
Church of Ireland Cathedral, Armagh
Works here included:
External landscaping to the grounds of St Patricks Cathedral including: resurfacing of the existing tarmac driveways in asphalt with new levels, lifting relaying and new stone kerbing, new paving consisting of European granite slabs and tobermore paving, excavation and formation of the New Garden Of Rest, soft landscaping and new lighting installations.
– Refurbishment and conversion of No. 4 Vicars Hill into Tea Rooms for public access
– Refurbishment of the Cathedral Crypt with a new vertical access from the Lady Chapel
– Miscellaneous works in the vicinity of the Cathedral Hill including excavations for new drainage and cable ducting, tree protection, new street furniture, installation of new Cast Iron Gates and associated works.
St Mochua’s Church, Derrynoose
Works here included:
- Internal alterations to Sanctuary area, including marble alter and steps
- Remodelling of sacristy area and toilet accommodation
- Removal of existing gallery and its access area
- Removal and replacement of ground floor structure
- Removal of external render, cleaning and re-pointing of exposed masonry with lime mortar
- Stained glass windows throughout
- Damp proofing
- Renewal of M&E installation
- Full internal decoration
- Construction of new side porch
Good Shepherd Church Belfast
Works here included:
- Internal alterations to Sanctuary Area, including marble alter and steps,
- Cleaning and re-decoration to walls and ceilings, repairs to pews and gallery.
- 100m2 extension to provide committee rooms, stores and toilets.
- Refurbishment of existing sacristy and flower room.
- Upgrading of heating system and rewiring electrical system
- Refurbishment and repairs to stained glass windows
- Contract completed within budget and on time
- Employers requirements regarding material and quality were met
St Alphonsus Church, Clones
Works here included:
- Comprehensive refurbishment to Church roof including replacement of rafters and slates.
- Replacement of Church ceiling and roof insulation and all cast iron rainwater goods.
- New church windows installed
- Installation and the fitting of dry lining and high energy efficient insulation to internal walls
- Replacement and upgrading of M&E services
- Upgrading of existing car park
St Patricks Church, Keady, Co. Armagh
Works here included:
- Refurbishment to existing mosaic tiling and marble flooring
- New internal floor finishes
- Repairs and renewal of stained glass windows
- Cleaning and full re-decoration to walls and ceilings, and repairs to existing pews
- Remodelling of sacristy area and boiler house
- Remodelling of gallery and its access area
Muff Church, Kingscourt (Dated from c. 1790)
Works here included:
- Stripping off existing natural slates, felt and laths, repairing ends of rafters and replacing/treating wallplates, new felt and laths and reslating with bangor blue slates, new cast iron gutters and downpipes
- Internal alterations to Sanctuary Area, including marble alter and steps
- Cleaning and re-decoration to walls and ceilings, repairs to pews and gallery.
- Upgrading of heating system and rewiring electrical system
- External re-rendering of building with lime plaster and all associated site works and car parking
- Refurbishment and repairs to stained glass windows
St Malachys Church, Armagh
Works here included:
- Complete internal refurbishment including M & E
- Car-parking and paving
- Cleaning of stone work
- roofing repairs
St Josephs Church, Madden, Co. Armagh
This project involved demolition of the previous stone church and the building of a new church with car parking facilities.
